February Battle Report in Karenni State

In February 2025, clashes between the Security and SAC forces and Karenni revolution forces erupted in Karenni State, particularly in the townships of Hpasawng, Bawlakhe, and Loikaw. Furthermore, in Mobye, SAC intensified its offensive to reclaim control, leading to intense battles throughout the month.
On February 5, Karenni revolutionary forces launched an attack on military council troops stationed at a Catholic missionary school (Zay Ta Man ) in Mobye. The assault resulted in the deaths of seven SAC soldiers and numerous injuries to others. The revolutionary forces also seized five weapons of different calibers. Throughout the battle, the SAC responded with three airstrikes using jet fighters, dropped bombs from transport aircraft, deployed drones for bombings, and unleashed heavy artillery fire for most of the day.
Throughout February, five of our comrades heroically sacrificed their lives while bravely engaging in combat, fulfilling their duties. We honor and remember them as martyrs and valiant warriors.
The SAC indiscriminately targeted civilians in Loikaw, Demawso, Hpruso, Phe Khon, and Mobye, unleashing airstrikes, drone attacks, and heavy artillery fire. Tragically, a 10-year-old child, two 17-year-olds, a women and a civilian lost their lives, while 11 others sustained injuries. Additionally, (58) civilian homes, a clinic, (5) school buildings, and 5 religious buildings inculding a Catholic church and a Buddhist monastery were destroyed.
In February, seven SAC soliders defected to the KNDF, comprising five armed personnel and two unarmed individuals. Additionally, eight deserters attempting to flee the frontlines were apprehended and safely detained.
Throughout February, the SAC intensified its attacks in Mobye, employing heavy artillery, drones, and jet fighters daily in Phe Khon , Mobye, Demawso, and Loikaw.
